In the impoverished country of Zambia, more than 700,000 children have been orphaned due to AIDS-related causes. Many suffer from malnutrition and depression. They miss school to care for ailing family members or to go to work themselves. These children and their communities need help and hope - now and for years to come.
Running Water is an 5K run/walk dedicated to improving the quality of life for orphaned and vulnerable children in the impoverished African country of Zambia who live daily with the devastating effects of extreme poverty and HIV/AIDS. We are focused on raising funds for World Vision to build self-sustaining programs to provide nourishment, clean water, medical attention, shelter, education and vocational training to nurture and improve the lives of children living in Zambia.
We encourage all walkers to find sponsors for their walk. 100% of your registration and sponsor donations go to World Vision to support the village of Twachiyanda in providing clean water, health care, educational and vocational needs.
